Tolu Ilelaboye is a professional generalist with a passion for philanthropy and a talent for bringing ideas to life through innovative, human-centered, equity-driven solutions. With experience working as an entrepreneur as well as in cooperatives and the public, private, and charitable sectors, Tolu brings an intersectional lens to her work, creating solutions that blend ideas from across industries. She has worked in sports, grantmaking, retail, construction, youth engagement, healthcare, home services, and DEI. Throughout her career as an entrepreneur and social alchemist, Tolu has worked with a broad range of local, provincial, national, and international organizations and entrepreneurs, with a focus on social change, including Canada’s oldest community foundation.
Tolu's educational background includes a BA in Communications, a Diploma in Project Management, a Master's in Management, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, and certificates in social innovation, disruptive technology, management, finance, and grant writing. Tolu is also trained to deliver the ISO diversity and inclusion management certification. Together, her formal and informal training help Tolu connect people, place, and purpose.
